Really flat footed

In between hockey games and practices we try to make it out to the local ski hill with some regularity. After having talked about it for a while, Mathias got to try his hand (or feet) at snowboarding. He took a lesson and has spent one day boarding on his own. For just 'getting down the hill' he's doing just fine. But he seems to be itching for jumps and various tricks on the board. When he tries those he finds himself head first in the snow fairly often...
