Progress

If placed on his stomach, Mathias is starting to master the art of turning his head (if there is something interesting to look at on the other side). A small step for man-kind but a giant leap for this particular guy!

He is also developing a rather voracious appetite. At this pace, the 8 lb marker won't be far away!

Lengthwise, we're now up to 19 inches (48 cm) - hey, that's almost like a regular baby!

In the past week Mathias has been branching out in the world. He has visited his first coffee shop, been shopping and even entertained visitors!

I was one of those lucky visitors. Here's the scoop. First, he is one beautiful boy. Sadly, there is a homely girl somewhere since M. got all the good looks.

He is following Patrik and Ericka's voices and watching shadows. (He liked when the breeze moved the tree branches) He ate like a little piggy. (Sorry, I had to be honest here). He drank 3 bottles in under two hours. I'm thinking he's ready for Jenny Craig. (I got a delicious Mimosa in my bottle!)

He never cried. He whimpered when the food didn't come quickly enough, but never cried.

He's a doll baby and his parents are totally calm and in love with him. He's a keeper!

Love, Lydia
