3Lbs!

At midnight they put Mathias on the scale and for the first time in his life it registered 3 lbs! Feels like it was only two weeks ago he was at two pounds!

In the morning they checked his eyes. The blood vessels are quite immature but nothing looks out of the ordinary. They will keep checking as they develop and monitor the progress. Next eye check is in two weeks. On this front, no news is good news!

Thx!

Hip Hip Hooray for the hero of the day, hip hip hooray for baby Mathias! This news makes me think of Pooh and this song along with the song 'I'm so Rumbly in my Tummy'.... Love how his little tummy is filling out along with the rest of him. I bet now he's really going to take off and grow in leaps and bounds. Maybe I'm a little biased but I certainly think he's gifted! :)

What wonderful news! Three pounds is a milestone, and what a relief to have 'no news' on the eye front! I am still awed by how wonderful and healthy he looks.
Patrik - thatks for your wonderful updates...keep them coming!

I too am doing the continuous feeding in the hopes that it will help Mathias put on some weight. It sure is working for me! I am sticking to a strict regiment of chocolate and Diet Coke. Mathias should try a Diet Coke so he could let out a huge burp to make some noise in that nursery! Everything looks and sounds great. We can't wait to see him next week? Can we take him out to Ikea for a while?

Underbart underbart!

Han börjar ju t o m se lite "tjock" ut med dubbelhaka och allt - precis som det ska vara :)!!

Håller självklart tummarna för att det fortsätter lika bra på ögon-fronten också!

Fantastic news! So glad to hear that nothing showed up on the eye exam - all those positive thoughts coming your way must be doing something. Overall, the little guy has had quite a week - change in feeding, change in breathing, putting a little weight on, first Easter, and finally those great Monson eyes! I'll be in touch, but keeping you all in our thoughts - the positive vibes are coming your way! By the way - I think Rob's diet is a great idea - what more could a person want than chocolate and diet coke (although I'm partial to the full calorie stuff)Beth
