10x

Fifty year ago, BMW made a vehicle called Isetta.
It looked like an egg and probably had about the same safety characteristics. For civilian use it had 12 horsepower while the police version was boosted to 13.

Fifty years later, another anomaly of automotive engineering is being discontinued. 2006 was the last model year of the HUMMER H1. In addition to the governor of California, Neil Young has one. Neil's runs on vegetable oil.

The point (and I do have one)? An H1 is exactly ten times heavier than an Isetta. We have now reached the milestone of a similar transformation for Baby M! On Tuesday, when he turns 8 months, we'll tack on a zero at the end of his birth weight - turning 635g to 6350g. It is not quite as convenient with pounds but he'll be 14 big ones.

If you're keeping track, that's a compound daily growth rate of almost exactly 1% per day over 245 days. Most adults don't even gain 1% of their body weight on Thanksgiving!

Below are a couple of illustrations of what has been achieved with time and 500 calories a day:

Happy Birthday to Daddy's little Terminator!

Hi all three of you,

talk about improvment on all levels. The hat he's wearing today looks enormous compared to his first. We hope that you're doing just fine. We're all doing ok here in Ålberga. It's getting colder yet it's raining. So that leaves us with extremely slipery roads. Me, my mum and dad and my brother are going to Barcelona in two weeks to watch Barcelona vs. Villa Real at Camp Nou. I'm so exited about it. Talk about a dream coming true. Well wish you all the best.

Love Sofia
