A year of dental work

Johan has been teething for well over a year now, with all the discomfort and angst that follows. And he has four teeth to show for it!

Presumably, it took Michelangelo four years to pain the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. It seems they are working at the same pace! This bodes well for Johan's future smile!

Father's Day - with sand between our toes

After being served breakfast in bed we headed for the beach for Father's Day! We baked in the sun, we played in the sand, and we splashed in the water. Then we grilled!

The boys of summer

Some argue whether summer solstice is the beginning or the mid-point of summer. Thats of course a rather academic discussion. Every kid knows summer starts when school's out (or in our case when mom is done with school)!

The haircut: before, during, and after

A slightly belated update...

We took Johan in for his first haircut. Or, as his brother put it, get rid of the coot's nest. He was not amused at first. But towards the end the infectious smile was back!
