2018/2019 Hockey

The hockey season is starting to wind down. As of now, each team has two games to go in the regular season. Here's where we are:

Johan's Delano Tigers are chasing the North Metro Pirates for supremacy in the District 3's Squirt C division.  They are dependent on North Metro to implode in the last two games and it's a bit of a long shot. But nonetheless, they are in second place out of 14 teams.  Johan has scored a goal and had a couple of assists. So he's thrilled with his first 'real' hockey season. The Tigers' strong performance is especially impressive given that they only have 10 players. When they play teams with 14-15 players they do very well keeping up in the 3rd period when you'd think they'd be exhausted.

Mathias' Orono Spartans sit at the top of the PeeWee C league with one loss for the whole season, including tournaments, league games, and scrimmages. As the net minder, Matias has taken in 22 goals for the regular season, 8 less than the team with the second best Goals Allowed record! Also, of note, Mathias has made a lot of great friends on his new team. His season has been terrific all around!
