Halloween 2018

Halloween snuck up on us in the midst of the hockey season. We still somehow managed to squeeze in some jack-o-lantern production. The boys went trick-or-treating with friends. Ericka and I got to hang out with other parents and await the return of the candy laden ghouls. It was kind of a refreshing change of pace for Halloween. Now we'll just have to figure out what to do with a mountain of candy! 

To Orono, perhaps via Minnetonka...

In the last game of the fall MASH league, Delano played Minnetonka. As it happens Minnetonka didn't have a goalie for the game. So Mathias got to stand in, wearing his Brynas shirt no less. (Minnetonka won so it wasn't entirely bad to play for another team!).
Fast forward to the regular hockey season... Delano finds itself with three Peewee team and seven(!) goalies.  When the casting call went out that Orono has four teams and only two goalies, Mathias didn't hesitate to jump in and help fill the holes. He now finds himself playing for Orono.
Today was the first practice match versus Minnetonka. Orono won big (9-1) with the lone puck ending up n Mathias' net came with only six minutes left.  The shutout remains elusive! It is shaping up to be a terrific hockey season.
