The breakaway

Sitting in an arena watching hockey, it is hard to get photos that turn out well. The lighting is ho hum at best and Mathias is usually far away… This weekend I lucked out as the Squirt C's were playing St Louis Park on their turf. Mathias had a great scoring opportunity that I actually caught on camera. After a string of losses they tied 2-2 which everyone was thrilled about. After all, a did-not-lose is a did-not-lose! We'll think of this goal as the one that got away… 

The look of 7

Johan's second upper front tooth was barely loose. Then the boys went sledding and he went head first into a snow pile. When he came out his tooth was missing.  

With the tooth gone he had to write a letter to the tooth fairy. We'll see if she makes an appearance tonight. 

As for Johan's new look... It makes me smile every time I see him. 

3 on 3

For fun, the local squirts played an internal half-ice 3 on 3 tournament. The A, B and C teams were all scrambled into four teams and they spent the morning battling it out. 

At the end, Mathias' team got to raise the Stanley Cup looking trophy as the victors. 

Yay!
