Gingerbread boys with a twist
Via an acquaintance, Ericka received his address and sent a Christmas card to the doctor who was the first one we met way back when at Abbott. By coincidence he was also there to deliver Mathias just under a week later.
The other day, as Ericka and Mathias were baking ginger snaps, he called to thank her for the card and wish us a merry Christmas. They talked for a while. Afterwards, Ericka told Mathias that the person she had just talked to delivered him when he was born.
He pondered it for a while and asked: "Did he wear gloves?".
I can't remember...

WikiLeaks?
In my infinite wisdom I consulted Mathias as to what we should give Ericka for Christmas. After carefully considering his suggestion that we give her a 'demolition derby shirt' (in Mathias' definition that's a sleeveless t-shirt with a picture of a car), we decided that she needed a pair of pajamas.
It took literally 30 minutes before Ericka told me she heard a rumor she's getting pajamas from Santa. And Assange isn't even out on bail yet!

The lights before the storm
Before the massive snowfall rolled into town we seized the opportunity to see the Holidazzle parade Friday night. Johan ended up with the best seat in the house while Mathias took in the parade from my shoulders - they're still hurting. We spent the rest of our weekend digging out from a boatload of snow landing in the next 24 hours.

Bedtime
Yawn!... It is seven o clock.
It is time to start winding down from an day of busy activities. Time to coast into the evening and get ready to go to sleep. If you are two years old your eyelids are already noticeably heavy and a nice blanket would be just the ticket.
At least that is how I hear other two-year-olds approach the hour.
