Quick! Shut the doors and windows, turn off the lights, hide under the table and hope for daylight...

That is unless you want to take the easy way out and just give the roving pack of monkeys some candy and they'll be nice to you.

Halloween preparations

Halloween snuck up on us... Well, not on the boys. They have been running around in their chosen outfits for the better part of a month!

But now it is merely hours away. We spent the weekend making Halloween cookies and carving the pumpkins.

Johan's cookie production was much lower than that of Mathias - although he used up about the same amount of frosting. Funny how that is!

Now all we need is some dark weather and we'll be out putting fear in the heart of the innocent citizenry in our town!

Carboloading

If you spend a few days in the Wisconsin Dells and don't come home completely exhausted and needing a vacation... Then you're doing it wrong!
In anticipation of putting in some long shifts in the water parks we decided to start our adventure with a visit to YoYo donuts in Minnetonka. That hit the spot! Now let's dive in!

What's a pound between brothers?

With Johan's birthday party behind us it was time for the less glamorous part of celebrating a milestone - the 3-year health checkup. All in all it was uneventful (apart from a pair of vaccination cocktails). At least the flu-shot was the non-injecting kind!

As it happens, Mathias had an asthma checkup just before Johan had his visit to the clinic. So with two official weigh-ins... we're now down to a single pound difference between the two. Mathias still has the edge at 32...

Fall fun with Farmor & Farfar

Farmor and Farfar crossed the ocean on a mission to spoil the children. They largely succeeded and the boys spent a couple of weeks on a steady diet of Bilar, Dumle, and Fruxo. The sugar high is starting to slowly wear off as we can once again see the bottom of the candy drawer.

While they were here, Farmor and the kids re-decorated the house for fall and Farfar and Mathias confirmed that the fish in Lake Rebecca are still biting.
